How do you control overeating?

I am 17 and I just finished high school. I was suppose to go to college about a week ago but I received my high school diploma a little late so I could apply myself to college in time. Being at home sucks I would go out but all of my friends are in college. I'm trying to lose weight I have been running about 4 months already and I lost 50 pounds from not eating a lot and running. But ever since I finished high school all I do is play guitar and eat, It sucks. I've also been looking for a job for about 2 months and most places won't hire because I'm not 18 yet. One more thing I lost 50 pounds i used to weight 210 then I dropped to 160 but i just gained 15 pounds since august so I weight 175. Is there a way to lose 20 pounds fast like lets say in a month or 2. I want to start fresh for college because I might start doing track, and my cousin is getting married in october and My band is going to play for her wedding.

How to Use Honey and Cinnamon to Lose Weight

Maybe Overeaters Anonymous or seeing a therapist or a nutritionist. Maybe say to yourself the food has no hold or power over me, and it's just fuel. Try different workouts, running, rowing, spinning, weights, Pilates, boxing, zumba and a lot of water. I would recommend Hilt or Interval training, and working out to music or with a friend or a running/cycling group, etc. Make up a daily schedule or nearly daily schedule that has variety, is fun, and not boring. Maybe train for a triathlon or a 5k/10k run or bike race?I have literally no work experience as well, and I do all the right things as well. Good luck! I hate binge eating and emotional eating, and stupid sugar cravings.

LifeStrong tells me to eat 800 calories in order to lose weight?!?

So they're was this app that basically tracks calories and you have to punch in your weight age, height and eveything and I chose lose 2lbs in a week. I have to eat 800 calories a day in order to do that. Isn't that too little? Why so little tho? Most ppl can't even do 1,200

That does seem too low...what is your current height and weight???Go to freedieting.com and on the menu on the left is a section for calculators...they have a "daily needs calculator"...see if that one gives you equally low numbers as you enter your age, height, weight, sex, and activity level to determine your caloric needs, then it will give you a number for maintenance, fat loss, and extreme fat loss...

  • It's because the 2lb/week thing is mainly for obese people who don't need that many calories in a day. If you're not obese then I'd recommend starting with 1lb a week, otherwise it could be dangerous.
  • Do a low carb diet instead. Eliminate white flour (breads, cookies, etc.) starch (potatoes) and sugars. You can eat meat, eggs, salads with oil and vinegar dressing. You'll find more information on line. Don't try to live on 800 calories, that isn't enough.
  • That's because of the data you input. The program merely spew out the correct number. Change the goal and the end date to fine tune it for the amount of calories you wish to eat.
  • Yes it's too little. You have to understand that sort of simplistic math does not work. Yes if you really cut calories you may lose weight, but no app can give an accurate prediction of losing x pounds based on eating y calories. It doesn't work. It's never worked for anyone. The people who write those apps possess no real world data confirming that the math has ever worked.
