Is it ok to take Raspberry Key after Gastric bypass surgery?

I had bypass surgery last year and I'm thinking of using this supplement to help maintain my weight loss. Has anyone used it for that?

How to Lose Weight Even After Menopause

Recommended Answer:

I personally do not know anyone who take Raspberry Key after Gastric bypass surgery but i dont think that it will harm you anyways. Just make sure that you are getting the right and the pure one's that does not have any fillers. I have tried raspberry ketone after my appendectomy and there is no negative side effects.

  • No----no no no. Do NOT take such a supplement after GB surgery!! Take ONLY what your doctor approves: your biotin, your vitamins. Taking supplements after GB surgery is VERY tricky--and you can do some serious harm. You maintain your weight loss by eating LESS--you don't maintain it by taking supplements. I'm dead serious--you can harm your stomach and bowel. And remember, about 25% of GB patients will gain back some weight after it stabilizes--but don't let this alarm you. Presumably you went through all the counseling and you learned how to modify your behavior to eat ONLY when you're supposed to--and not eat a lot of things that will pile those pounds back on--you cannot eat like you used to. Ever again. You have to eat very balanced meals and small portions. If you are having a problem maintaining your weight now, investigate Jenny Craig--they have re-done all their pricing--they are no longer as expensive as they used to be, and their meals are well-balanced AND portion controlled. If you follow the program, any weight you re-gained after GB will go away again and you'll get into the habit of eating correctly. You have to also understand this: now that you only have a little "pouch" instead of a whole stomach, supplements don't work the way they used to--no medications do. You have to be very strict about what you take and how. And absolutely NO weight loss supplements or drugs. NONE. This is extremely important. All your food and your supplements are now digested in your SMALL INTESTINE--not in your stomach. They don't dissolve until they reach the small bowel--this can cause perforations, ulcers, inflammation and other problems. AND--they don't dissolve as completely as they used to either--when things like this stay in your gut, they can become very problematic.
  • It is always recommend that you consult with your doctor before the use of any new supplement.
