Is eating too much peanut butter bad?

I eat like 2 reece cups a day, every single day.I am a female. I am 5'4 and pretty lean. I weigh 130, and work out and lift weights. I want to know if this will make me gain weight? Should I work out more if I eat multiple reece cups everyday? I work out 2-3 times per week. They are so delicious, I believe I'm addicted!

  • There is a difference between eating peanut butter and eating reece cups... Peanut butter, and especially natural peanut butter, isn't all that bad for you. However, in reece cups, you are just eating processed peanut butter, with added sugar and chocolate, so it is obviously not unhealthy. If you eat well besides that and workout, you probably will not gain a bunch of fat from having one or two everyday, however if you continue to eat them and then more, and stop working out and stuff like that then you will. Either way, whether you are gaining weight or not, eating a package or two of those things isn't helping your body, so I wouldn't get into the habit.
  • well those reese cups carry alot of sugar and fat in them if i were you id limit myself to about maybe a couple on a friday
  • I would chuck them and find a healthier option :) Too much of anything is bad for you! Try a healthy grain/cereal bar or something, not a sugary high-calorie one though.

Anorexia, metabolism and weight loss question?

Im by no means anorexic nor do i want to be .. I love my kfc and mcds too much! AhaBut as a question we are taught by starving our metabolism slows and loosing weight becomes difficult. Also when we do eat after starving that our body converts it to fat storage straight awayIf this is the case why do anorexics and people who water/juice fast all see incredible weightloss in such a short period of time?Are they using up muscle tissue while maintaining fatty tissue? Once again i am NOT anorexic and i DO NOT want to lose weight. The science doesnt make sense.

Good for u that ur not anorexic n love ur KFC n Mc D.When a person starts starving, the body recognises it as a starving stage i.e., it assumes that it will not be getting any more food, thus it starts storing it in the form of fat. after a few days when the person suddenly starts eating, the body is still in that stage n will again start storing assuming that it will again go in starvation stage. Thus the increase in body fat.In case of anorexic person, the starvation stage becomes prolonged, i.e., the body will store whatever it can in the form of fat. But as such people donot eat n keep themselves on liquid diet, the body will no longer get any food which it can convert to fat. Thus it will start using up fat that it had once stored. This leads to decrease in weight in anorexic people. The continuous depletion in the energy level, will further decrease the capacity of the body to perform even simplest of the simple task, as there will be no more fat in the body which the body can useup. Thereby leading to early organ failures and deaths.
