I am a Fourteen year old female I want to gain strength and endurance.I am very thin due to the fact I have a high metabolism I would also like to gain some healthy weight ? I want to join the raiders team in my jrotc . Help Please ?

Okay, I just did a Google search for what the hell a raider team is. Actually sounds like quite a bit of fun, as opposed to the usual JROTC bullshit. This is what I recommend.-As far as increasing strength, focus on squats, deadlifts and overhead press. Pullups and push ups are also a good idea, but the bench press is an entirely optional movement when training for military-ish events.-Go ruck. There is no equivalent training to actually getting a ruck on your back and getting some miles in. This is NOT a goddamn nature hike, its a forced march. The Army standard is 12 miles in 3 hours. It takes time to build up to that, plan on rucking at least once a week for at least 5 miles w/ a minimum of 25lbs on your back.-Running. Run a bare minimum of 3 times a week. Change it up now and again, throw in some hill sprints, stair runs, 60/120's, and suicide drills.-Skills training. Land Nav, first aid, knots. In that order of precedence. Land nav is rapidly becoming a lost art in the day of GPS on every thing. Learn to use a map and compass. At night, in the rain, when you are tired. Learn it now. Officers who can't use a map call in shitty air strikes and get there guys killed. Don't be that officer.-Gaining weight. Milk, eggs, peanut butter, and oatmeal. Eat big, with the amount of training you are going to do (hopefully) you are going to need all the calories you can get.Best of luck.

  • Best way to gain strength and endurance is to workout. Also eating proteins will help you gain weight. I have a high metabolism also. Try to eat more healthy food than less unhealthy food.
