Depending upon what you are doing for the three day water fast ( heat, exercise, etc) you could die. Your kidney and liver functions will severely suffer from such an act. Being dehydrated is also a good way to start the development of kidney stones which will grow over time. It is not a good idea. Also, you will gain all the weight back that you lost simply from shedding water from your body. Your kidney and liver functions will severely suffer from such an act.Your diet and exercise program will probably result in weight loss. How much of it you eventually regain is a function of how dramatically different is your diet and exercise program from your ordinary life. When you return to your normal diet and exercise patterns you could gain it all back. the average body burns about 2000 calories a day with some variation based upon your age, weight, and other factors. If you eat 2000 calories a day and burn 2000 calories a day then you do not gain weight. Eat less and you lose weight. No matter what fancy diet you try to follow, simple physics tells you that if you eat more than the calories you burn each day you will gain weight as your body stores the excess calories as fat in the body for protection against leaner times. To remain at a good weight for your body type you simply need to eat in moderation, get plenty of exercise, and monitor your weight to provide feedback as to whether you need to slow down on the eating or eat more. Lots of vegetables provide lots of nutrients and give you a full feeling quicker than other more calorie dense foods. Fruits make good deserts because they are less calorie dense than prepared, sweet deserts and their natural sugars are processed more readily by the body.

Other Answers:

  • The problem with a water fast is that the body thinks you're starving, so it slows down your metabolism to conserve calories. You should ignore the 3 day water fast and start the regular diet.
