How to fast and resist temptation?

I weigh 150 pounds and I'm 5'4".I always feel bad about my body. I work out Mon-Fri for 2 hours because of volleyball and I sweat a ton. I usually eat no more than 1000 calories and I still GAIN weight.I've lost a bit because I've been eating under 800 calories.I want to progress faster.I've been talking to people on Kik and Tumblr about weight loss. I've been trying to fast but I usually cave in. I fasted for about 18 hours yesterday, but it was unintentional. I ate dinner the previous night, and was busy all day and didn't eat until dinner.I can't resist eating. That's my weakness.How do I successfully fast for 1 or more days and not give into temptation?I know it's not healthy but it's what I have to do.Thank you.
