I've been trying to lose weight since I was about 15, almost 16. I've 17 now and I've only lost 26 pounds.I feel so bad about it because it's taking so long. I feel just guilty. Everytime I eat too many calories or too much of this or that. Or I don't exercise enough. It's hard. It sucks. How overweight is 142 pounds for a girl who is 5'3? I look huge and I don't see a difference in my appearance even though I lost those 26 pounds. I feel horrible and guilty. I try but sometimes I just let myself down. I know I need to be better and I'm trying. I'm just asking how to deal with feeling like I failed?

If you want to lose weight and keep it off you have to take it slow like you are right now. 26 pounds is phenomenal, you should be proud of yourself. You're getting there, just remember, the human body actually likes to stay at a consistent weight, so once you get there, you're pretty much there for good. Don't give up!
