I eat cereal every morning and i've been on a diet for a long time, actually it's more of a lifestyle change, but yeah. :D You don't need to give up your cereal, just maybe switch to a healthier alternative. For example, Captain Crunch is kind of like little squares, right? Kashi's Honey Sunshine cereal is similar, but healthier! I eat Cheerios with either a cut up banana, strawberries, and blueberries...sometimes even 2 of the above. I also use almond milk instead of regular milk because it's healthier + i'm lactose so I can digest it. Captain Crunch has 12 grams of sugar per serving, that's a bit much. :/ Cheerios (Regular, not honey nut) has very few. There are other cereals of course that don't contain a lot of sugar and have fiber and other good things. But, if you crave Captain Crunch and can ONLY eat that cereal, you won't gain weight from it. - I wouldn't eat it late at night, especially if you are eating a full bowl. Look on the back of the box and see what the serving size is. Normally that is the amount you can eat for you to be okay. If you pay attention, a whole bowl of cereal is almost 1/4 of the entire bag.
- It wouldn't ruin your diet if you eat 1 or 2 bowls but it would hurt if you put lots and lots of sugar or eat 3 or 2 bowls of cereal everyday. But to my Opinion cereal wouldn't ruin your diet if you don't eat lots of it and if you burn those calories by exercise.

It was just a gimick to sell the candy. I eat cereal 3 times a week and dont get fat. All meats are'nt fattening and vegetables. I normally eat Vegetables for lunch = a pot full, by warming it up in a microwave. At night I eat either STEAK, CHICKEN or PORK ROAST to my hearts content, since its not fattening. Mike
