Putting some weight on my elderly dog?

I have a male rat terrier who is 12 years old. My family has had to move and after moving is when he started to lose weight. My father passed away and my dog was really close to him so that made him sad for a while. He's getting really skinny. Is there any meals I can give him to gain a little?
