Ok. I know you guys aren't doctors but I wanted a general opinion because I don't feel a doctors appointment is needed, at least not yet. Lately, the past week I have been experiencing unusual symptoms, at least for someone my age. For the past week I have been urinating quite frequently to the point where it seems ridiculous. Also, I have been tired and feel like I need sleep even though I go to bed, usually around 10:30-11:00 and I get the required 7-8 hours. Also, when I lay on my stomach when I am laying down and studying (more comfortable) my stomach feels a little hard, nothing major, but enough for me to notice; there is no pain or anything. And, my boobs are a tad sore. But, my period is due within the next day or two. other information:I am 22otherwise healthy on birth control don't smoke drink socially but not often *I wondered about a possible pregnancy but, I'm trying not to jump to conclusions...I'll have to wait until my period comes to know anything in regards to that.any advice or information is appreciated, I just was curious.

Hi,It could just be that you run down with your period due - I always feel rubbish a few days before. I also urinate more frequently, get headaches and nausea, and tummy cramps. There can be many causes of frequent urination, being constipated can cause it because everything is quite close down there so a full rectum puts extra pressure on the bladder. A minor urine infection can cause frequent urination, as can really simple things like drinking more fluid, more caffeine can be a diuretic, as well as more serious issues, although I would not be concerned after only 1 week, unless you have symptoms such as yellowing of the eyes or skin, pain or burning when passing water, severe back pains in the mid to lower back, sudden unexpected weight loss or gain.It is most likely due to your period, but if this persists over the next few weeks, or you experience other symptoms, especially sudden weight loss, then go see your doctor for some blood work.
